What We Do
Dance Victoria brings the world's best dance companies to the stage at the Royal Theatre and with its comprehensive Dance Futures programs fosters the professional and creative development of this community at Dance Victoria Studios.
- Dance Victoria presents an annual subscription dance series in the Royal Theatre
- Through the Dance Futures Program, Dance Victoria:
- Commissions new works at the local and national level
- Engages professional choreographers to mentor Victoria-based dancers and presents this development in The LOLA Projects
- Offers creation residencies to visiting professional dance companies
- Provides free workshops for the public
- Offers dance education through such initiatives as the Youth Pass and Dance Card as well as a seasonal newsletter, and interactive artist talks
- Dance Victoria offers the Chrystal Dance Scholarship, one of the largest dance scholarships in Western Canada, as well as bursaries
- Partners with our dynamic dance community to bring you Dance Days
- As a Centre for Dance, Dance Victoria manages a multi-studio dance facility and offers studio rentals
