The Island Thyme English Morris Dancers have been sharing the ancient ritual folk dances of England with Victoria audiences since 1987. The group Kariatis was formed 27 years ago by Karia Leschke and performed at Millos (Greek) Restaurant every weekend for about 10 years. In July 2005, the group travelled to Bulgaria to study Bulgarian and Macedonian dance at the Balkanfolk camp. |

The Sons of Norway "Leikarring" folk dance group invites those interested in learning, preserving and performing ethnic dances, towards promoting the Norwegian culture. We meet Tuesdays at Norway House, 1110 Hillside Avenue, from 7:30PM to 9:30PM. The dancers wear HARDANGER costumes during performance. The group formed in 1947, so in 2007 it will celebrate its 60th anniversary. |
