Dance Victoria is the fastest growing performance series in Greater Victoria and the largest independent centre for dance presentation and cultivation in Western Canada. This exceptional growth is due to the love that you - our audience members and supporters - have for dance.
We are making a difference in the cultural fabric of this community through our commitment to the presentation of the very best in professional contemporary and classical dance from across the country and around the world. We also contribute to the creation of new dance by funding their development and supporting professional artists in their work. And, because we feel people of all ages and abilities should have access to learn about and experience dance, we've created and support several community and educational initiatives such as our free community workshops, pre-show chats, lecture demonstrations, backstage tours, youth pass program and more.
As with other visual and performing arts organizations, ticket sales fail to cover the true costs associated with our work. For ten years, Dance Victoria has helped foster and nourish a thirst for dance here in Greater Victoria. And with your shared passion and continued support, we plan to do so for many years to come!

Wherever the Need is Greatest:By directing your gift in this way, you will be supporting the core of Dance Victoria's presentation programming, ensuring that we can keep our ticket price affordable and continue to reach a wide audience base. You will also be supporting our youth and pre-professional educational programming. This includes our Youth Pass program, through which any student in grades 8 - 12 can receive a FREE pass that enables them to purchase rush seats to all of Dance Victoria's productions for only $10. The pass also provides discounts on Master Classes and opportunities to volunteer for performances. |

Dance Victoria Endowment FundIn the fall of 2006, Dance Victoria established the Dance Victoria Endowment Fund at the Victoria Foundation. Endowment monies are held in perpetuity, and each year Dance Victoria will receive interest earned by the Fund. This revenue source provides a wonderful path for long-term sustainability and will be used to support our outreach and new work initiatives. |

Nutcracker KidsIntroduced four years ago, Nutcracker Kids is a very successful program that provides free tickets to disadvantaged kids in our community. Your donation of $50 buys two tickets and after the show the kids will be treated to a backstage tour at the Royal where they will meet the dancers. In 2008, 142 participants from Big Brothers Big Sisters of Victoria attended the world premiere of the Alberta Ballet’s The Nutcracker. |

All donors are acknowledged in our house program for a full year and are kept informed of the latest Dance Victoria activities. Donations of $25 or more will receive a tax-deductible receipt in the mail.
Members of the President's Circle are invited to special receptions and events throughout the season. All donations, regardless of the program(s) supported are included in this total.
