In the dance world today, Wayne McGregor is one of the most original and innovative artists. He is the resident choreographer for London's Royal Ballet, and his works are in the repertoires of San Francisco Ballet, Stuttgart Ballet, Nederlands Dans Theatre, Paris Opera Ballet, the Bolshoi Ballet, New York City Ballet and recently, the National Ballet of Canada. In Entity, the ten muscular dancers are never still. The work is very physical — wild abandon contained in a strong form — at moments hard and fast and, at others, slow and tender. Propulsive music, video, and 3D set architecture create an unforgettable environment in which bodies twist and pull, reach and fall.
