BJM brings two recently commissioned works to Victoria. The first by noted Brazilian choreographer Rodrigo Pedernairas is a fluid work that weaves and undulates to reveal enigmatic patterns and surprising partnering. The second work, created by Aszure Barton, a Canadian-born protégé of Baryshnikov draws from the personal experiences and emotional life of the BJM dancers to create a work that is dynamic, surprising and virtuosic.
